Jane Braun has achieved 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional certification and earned a master’s degree in financial planning and taxation from San Diego State University. Jane is a Branch Manager and a Registered Representative/ Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network® and was previously employed by JPMorgan Chase as a Senior Financial Advisor.

In 2025, Jane was honored in Forbes Best-in-State Top Women Wealth Advisors and named a Five Star Award Winner by Five Star Professional, recognizing her dedication to excellence in financial planning and her commitment to providing outstanding service to her clients. These prestigious accolades highlight her experience, client-centric approach, and leadership in the industry.

Jane’s primary responsibility is to develop and build strong relationships with the clients she serves. Specializing in retirement asset accumulation and retirement income strategies, she collaborates with tax and legal professionals in the planning process. Jane also works with families advising on charitable giving, intergenerational wealth transfer, and legacy planning.

Residing and working in Coronado, Jane is very involved in the San Diego community. She served for three years as president of the Coronado Historical Association, as well as president-elect of the San Diego Blood Bank. Jane is currently on the Executive Committee for Sharp Coronado Hospital Foundation, a director on the Sharp Coronado Hospital Board and is a member of the Rotary Club of Coronado and a local P.E.O. chapter.

Jane is a lifelong advocate of education, including financial literacy for students. She regularly presents workshops to women and young adults to inspire and motivate them to take control in building their financial futures. As a mother of five adult children, collectively Jane’s family has earned five undergraduate degrees, two master’s degrees, and two Juris Doctorates.

Sheila Braun, CPA

Sheila Braun joined Commonwealth Financial Network as a Financial Advisor in 2021. She holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional certification.

Sheila received her undergraduate degree in 2011 from the Marshall Business School, Leventhal School of Accounting at the University of Southern California, graduating with Honors. She has held her Certified Public Accountant license for 10 years.

Sheila brings a wealth of knowledge to the Plan to Prosper team as well as to our clients from her decade of experience as a CPA at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). In her most recent position as a mergers & acquisitions tax director at PwC, Sheila advised multinational corporations and private equity firms on issues related to all manner of domestic and international transactions. Specifically, leading cross-jurisdiction and cross-specialty teams to diligence, structure, negotiate, and execute domestic and cross-border deals. Sheila has strong experience in finance, tax, and investments.

Sheila made the decision to transition from her career at PwC and join Commonwealth because she is passionate about helping individuals and families achieve their personal and financial goals. Sheila has an excellent ability to connect with people and respond to their needs in an eloquent, caring, and intuitive way. Sheila believes in disciplined rules based investing and financial planning.

Sheila enjoys spending time with her husband, Matt, an ER nurse at Sharp Coronado, and their two sons, Oliver (3) and Henry. She cherishes life in Coronado—biking to her morning workout and to work, walking Oliver to school, spending evenings at the park, and staying closely connected with extended family. When not in Coronado, Sheila enjoys traveling with family, especially to Hilton Head, South Carolina, and Taos, New Mexico, and has a strong interest in nutrition, wellness, and healthy living.

Kelly Braun

Kelly Braun has been working alongside Jane for more than ten years. She began her career at Plan to Prosper as the firm’s Marketing Coordinator, where she developed and led client education and appreciation initiatives, including the Women & Wealth series. Through this role, Kelly helped strengthen the firm’s commitment to proactive education, long-term planning, and meaningful client engagement.

Over time, Kelly transitioned into a client-facing advisory role, becoming fully licensed and earning her Series 7 and Series 66 registrations. In 2020, she further advanced her expertise by completing the Executive Financial Planner Certificate program at San Diego State University. Kelly now holds both the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) and CERTIFIED PLAN FIDUCIARY ADVISOR® (CPFA®) designations, reinforcing her commitment to fiduciary best practices, comprehensive planning, and client-first guidance.

Today, Kelly serves as the Director of Operations for Plan to Prosper. In this role, she plays a critical part in the firm’s day-to-day operations while also supporting clients with financial planning questions, account administration, money movement, and trade requests. Kelly takes great pride in the long-standing relationships she has built with clients and is known for her attention to detail, responsiveness, and dedication to delivering a high level of service.

Kelly is especially passionate about working with millennials and young families, helping them build strong financial foundations through thoughtful education planning, retirement readiness, cash flow and investment strategies, and long-term wealth accumulation.

Kelly was a Division I water polo player at UCLA and continues to enjoy all things sports and athletics. A proud Coronado local, she currently serves as Secretary for the Coronado Historical Association. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys spending time with family and friends—especially her husband, Bobby, and son, Finley. The three can often be seen walking together around Coronado each morning and evening.


Shannon Clancy

Client Relations Manager

Shannon Clancy joined the Plan to Prosper team in 2020. As Client Relations Manager, she plays a key role in delivering a seamless and personalized client experience. With a strong focus on service, organization, and communication, Shannon serves as the bridge between clients and advisors, ensuring that every interaction reflects the firm’s commitment to care and excellence.

In her role, Shannon oversees the day-to-day operational and administrative functions that keep the firm running efficiently. She coordinates and prepares materials for client meetings, supports new clients throughout the onboarding process and beyond, provides hands-on technology assistance, and facilitates money movement requests and Donor Advised Fund grants.

Behind the scenes, Shannon maintains meticulous client records, oversees database management, and ensures compliance standards are consistently met. In addition to her operational responsibilities, she fosters meaningful connections by coordinating client events and thoughtful appreciation touches throughout the year.

Born into a Navy family, Shannon was raised in Coronado and is an alumna of Coronado High School and Coronado School of the Arts. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, and has earned her Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations. Shannon lives in Escondido and enjoys gardening, ballet, and cooking. She loves spending time on the water and picking blueberries every summer at her family’s cottage in Maine.
